Watchers

But we are moved in. I have spent the day adding new hardware and software to the 'new' PC that came with the house (it was fully furnished). It is a very time consuming thing, as I have a lot of software and equipment. I am very happy to say though that Corel Painter is working so so *so* much nicer on the new PC than on the old laptop. I can actually work with large files now, and maybe even be a little productive with it.  I hope to re-open my eBay and Etsy stores on Wednesday.

I must say, this property is so interesting. There are lot of neat things planted here, and every week there is a new suprise. So far I have been able to identify TONS of Lantana, Robinia Hispada (which has edible flowers, supposedly), Legustrum trees (which is a fort for vicious butterflies), Georgia Grapes, Philadelphus, and yummy mulberry trees. And Blueberries. And roses. Iris.. daffodils... moonflowers.... STUFF.

I have been creating art since an early age. In 2010 I earned my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from the University of Texas at Arlington. My illustrative artwork is inspired by fashion, nature, pop culture, and human emotions, as well as folklore and old fairy tales.
"Few things are as bright and beautiful as they appear on the surface; nothing is quite as dark and terrifying as it is at first glance. I explore the light side of dark, the dark side of light, the demons we try to ignore, and the beauty we just cannot seem to live without."--© Jayde Hilliard

Wanna make another german renn dress, a more peasanty one as an alternitive to the fancy 1. I wanna try to slash the sleeves a little, but idk how to make slashes properly. Got any tips?

[link] Here is a tutorial that I found pretty helpful on making a good, long lasting slash. It's about the same thing I did with my garment. I hope it helps :)

Would love to see your dress when you are done with it!

Sewing machine has gone haywire and I hate the feel of interfacing. Found that out when we used it to make the maroon parts of the sleeves puffy on the last dress. But that is a good idea. So handsew a buttonhole type thing (but bigger) and cut it between the stitches? Would that work?

Yes, that is a good method I think. Plus, you can use contrasting color thread for a neat effect, I think!
